2023 Guber Election: Lagos PDP Urges Election Petition Tribunal To Accelerate Process

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended Nigerians "for their perseverance and endurance of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government at the federal level and in many states across the country," while urging the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal to commend proceedings based on the party's petition on the state governorship election. The party recalled in a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Seun Kuti: Okotie Pleads With Police IG For Mercy

Former Presidential candidate, Rev Chris Okotie,has urged the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba, to show mercy upon Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti over his case with the Police. The outspoken musician is in detention for slapping a Police man during an encounter in traffic recently. The matter has raised an uproar across the country.   In a press statement issued in Lagos yesterday, and signed by his media adviser, Ladi Ayodeji, Rev Okotie made a case for amnesty for the embattled music star. Court Remands Ejigbadero Over Land Grabbing, Perjury Allegations

A Chief Magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos State has ordered the remand of a suspected land grabbing, fraud, theft, (M), Abiodun Ishola Ejigbadero. Ejigbadero was arraigned yesterday over allegations of terrorizing land owners in Alimosho area of Lagos State. The accused is facing a five-count charge of conspiracy to murder, unlawful possession of firearms in suit number A/52/2023, and will be remanded in prison pending the Attorney-General's legal advice.
