Bayelsa Women Arise Ask IGP To Take Action Against Maciver, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate For Inciting Violence

  Bayelsa Women Arise on Sunday asked the Inspector General of Police to investigate comments made by the All Progressive Congress, (APC) Deputy Governor's Candidate, Mr. Joshua Maciver, as a way of preventing bloodshed, in the State. Subsidy: Reps Caucus Lauds Tinubu, Kyari Over Reforms, Transparency In Oil & Gas Sector

A House of Representatives caucus has applauded President Bola Tinubu and the Group CEO of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Engr. Mele Kyari for reviving the oil and gas sector.  The Friends of the Masses, a caucus consisting of over 50 members drawn from across the country, made this known in a joint statement signed by Hon. Seso Ikpagher (Benue, APC) and Hon. Bayelsa Women Arise Condemns Election Violence, Appeals to President Bola Tinubu for a Peaceful November Governorship Election ....vows to resist any attempt to upturn the will of the people

   In a remarkable show of unity and determination, the Bayelsa Women Arise organization conducted a peaceful peace walk today, in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital, condemning election violence and urging President Bola Tinubu and the Security agencies, to ensure a peaceful governorship election in Bayelsa State on November 11. The women also called for justice for the victims of previous election-related violence in the state. Thousands of women and youth, led by prominent community and Civil Soceity leaders, gathered at the State Capital to embark on the peace walk. The Coalition for Good Governance and Open Leadership in Nigeria has condemned an alleged premeditated plot to blackmail the Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr Mele Kyari. Bayelsa Election: Civil Society Groups Rejects INEC Proposal to Abandon Electronic Transmission of Results

Coalition of Pro-Democracy Organisations in Nigeria, an amalgamation of Groups committed to ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in the electoral process, vehemently rejects the proposal by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to abandon electronic transmission of results in the forthcoming Bayelsa State Governorship Election. Women Arrested In Nigeria For Planning Lesbian Wedding

  Ayerin Atinuke Janet,  lesbian couple and five other women have been arrested in  Ikeja, Lagos for planning the pair’s wedding. The women were detained on May 18, 2023 in Ikeja and later released on bail on May 20.   According to Grace Balogun, the Executive Director of Women Initiative Agenda (WIA), an NGO in a release made available to journalists, anyone convicted of having lesbian sex can be sentenced to ten years in prison. Balogun told newsmen that the arrests followed a tip-off and would lead to charges being brought against the women. “Our members got wind of the wedding and we informed the police who stormed the venue where they arrested 7 young women, including the bride and the groom. “As soon as investigation is concluded they will be charged," Balogun said. Group Rallies Support For Democracy, Rate Tinubu Performance High In Five Months

A coalition of 50 civil society groups with over two thousand members led by the Stand Up Nigeria, has called on Nigerians to believe in and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his quest to make the country prosperous and  match on the path to greatness.
