RE-NANS RECOMMENDS COMRADE CHINONSO OBASI AS SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT ON YOUTHS AND STUDENTS MATTER.
Our attention has been drawn to recent online publications and surreptitious moves by some self acclaimed former leaders of our noble organization in respect to appointment to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari on Youths and Students Matters.
Firstly, we wish to inform the public that those publications embarrassed good reasoning, ridicule public understanding and all means of acceptance. It is therefore ridiculous to associate such to our noble organization.
The fact of the matter speaks for itself. The sponsor of the publication apart from being a renowned opposition to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, former factional President of NANS (sponsored to divide NANS) also in 2019 served as a mobilizer for Atiku-Obi Presidential Campaign Council where he worked for the candidature of Atiku-Obi Presidency in the last election. It is only a fraud to expect such appointments when there are people who worked for the president and are most qualified for the job.
It is laughable and demeaning to now see same character pulling the wool over the eyes of millions of Nigerian students and especially notable former leaders of NANS who have served meritoriously in the past and others currently in service of the student movement deserving of such positions having sacrificed their time and resources in the overall benefit of their political party (APC) and candidacy of the Buhari-Osibanjo Presidential ticket whom they assiduously supported without let or fail.
At no time did NANS under the leadership of our performing President Comr. Danielson Akpan GCNS made such post or reach such misleading and controversial decisions.
On this note, we wish to urge members of the general public to disregard the self immolation, double standard and whims and caprices by Comrade Chinonso Obasi and his paid agents. It is nothing but a safe saving deceit aimed at hoodwinking paymasters he defrauds always with the promise of linking them to Aso-Villa.
Similarly, we urge the Presidency and the general public to disregard such publication or any of such written to their quarters.
We call on all the security agencies to as a matter of urgency investigate Chinonso Obasi and his cohorts with a view of ascertaining the extent at which he/they may have defrauded members of the public especially the political class with this misinformation and self promotion for selfish aggrandisement.
This should serve as a note of warning to Chinonso Obasi and his co-travellers on this fraudulent journey as any further attempt to disintegrate NANS for pecuniary benefits will be resisted through the laws of the land. To be fore warned is to be fore harmed.
Finally, we are of the good reason that it is the prerogative of the President and C-In-C to appoint Nigerians who can help him discharge responsibilities in fulfillment of his campaign promises before his victory. We expect nothing less. We have leaders who are loyal with unblemish past, upright, moral and honest without any affiliation to unholy groups that can discharge the functions of the Office of SSA on Youth and Students to Mr President.
Only those in that category we shall recommend when consulted by the President and C-in-C.
