Re-Petition against Gbenga Daniel A Fake Campaign of Calumny; The Guilty Is Afraid

Our attention has been drawn, to an unsigned press release, by one of the faceless aides of the embattled Senator Representing Ogun East Senatorial district in the Senate, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, where he/she described the petition by the Coalition of Pro-Democracy Organizations, as a "Fake Campaign of Calumny". While it is not in our tradition to engage in mud fights with unknown messenger of desperate politicians, we are obliged, to respond, in order to advise the public and our esteemed media organizations, to be mindful of such characters.

Our group , is a dedicated and transparent organization committed to promoting accountability, good governance, and justice.

We are concerned about the unsigned press statement attempting to discredit our legitimate efforts to voice the concerns of the people of Ogun State, over the actions of Senator Gbenga Daniel in recent time.

It should be noted, that our petition to the Nigerian Senate against Senator Gbenga Daniel is grounded in documented evidence and the legitimate grievances, as currently manifesting in Ogun State today.

As responsible citizens and advocates, it is our democratic right to raise concerns and seek redress for issues affecting the society. We have followed all legal and procedural channels in doing so, rather than engaging in violence, which the opponents of our approach are known for.

We respect the importance of public discourse and understand the need for transparency. However, we would like to clarify that we are not faceless groups but legitimate organization representing the interests of our people.

We invite Senator Gbenga Daniel and his supporters to engage in open discussion and address the concerns raised in our petition. Constructive dialogue and collaboration can lead to solutions that benefit the people of Ogun State.

In conclusion, our group remains committed to its mission of promoting accountability and justice. We urge the Senate, media and the public to focus on the merits of our petition and the issues we have raised rather than anonymous press statements. We are ready to provide any necessary evidence to support our claims.

Signed:

Comrade Oluwatobi Johnson
